Cristian Seidler, the spokesperson for USR, announced that the Union will continue to demand the removal of the Fritz amendment from the ANI law, invoking European community law.

The spokesperson of USR, Cristian Seidler, declared on Tuesday that representatives of the Union will continue to convince Romanian parliamentarians to eliminate the 'Fritz amendment' from the ANI law, despite the decision of the Constitutional Court. Seidler emphasized that, according to the decisions of the Court of Justice of the European Union, community law does not allow retroactivity, which strengthens the USR's argument.

In another context, Seidler mentioned that Clotilde Armand, former mayor of Sector 1, sentenced to one year in prison with the suspension of the execution of the sentence, will not be suspended from the party. He explained that, considering that Armand does not hold public office and that the court's decision is in the first phase, this will not remain on her record after a period of 2 years. Clotilde Armand announced that she will appeal the court's decision, and Seidler emphasized that any person is considered guilty only after a final decision.
