Oana Gheorghiu, the new Deputy Prime Minister, stated that she is open to collaborations with everyone, regardless of political affiliation, emphasizing that her previous protests against the PSD do not prevent her from working with members of this party. Gheorghiu mentioned that it is important to focus on achieving the objectives of the PNRR, rather than on political disputes. Regarding the criticisms made by Sorin Grindeanu, she explained that she does not judge the current PSD members, as she does not know if they were in government at the time of her protests. Her appointment was contested by the PSD, which emphasized that her critical statements about the Trump administration are not beneficial for the Government. Grindeanu mentioned that, although he respects personal opinions, he does not believe that Gheorghiu should be part of the Executive. He added that the PSD remains in government to prevent political deviations.
