Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu announces reforms and digitalization, against the backdrop of tensions within the coalition.

Oana Gheorghiu, the recently appointed Deputy Prime Minister in the government led by Ilie Bolojan, explained her main objectives, including reform, digitization, and the debureaucratization of public administration. Following the PSD's request to withdraw her appointment, Gheorghiu discussed with the Prime Minister, who assured her that the situation is under control. She emphasized that she holds no resentment towards Sorin Grindeanu, considering that the attacks are part of a political struggle. Gheorghiu rejected accusations of being 'anti-American', stating that she respects the contribution of the USA to Europe's security.

Regarding her responsibilities, she mentioned the need to rebuild trust between citizens and public institutions and to correct salaries in state-owned companies. Gheorghiu expressed optimism about the Prime Minister's support for the implementation of projects, highlighting the importance of collaboration between ministries. She also stated that she is open to collaborating with all cabinet members, without grudges. Finally, she assured that the projects initiated alongside Carmen Uscatu will continue without interruptions, setting clear deadlines for implementation only after their evaluation.
