Nicușor Dan explains the decision not to appoint a prime minister from Sorin Grindeanu and Siegfried Mureșan: "Now it is certain that it will not pass"

President Nicușor Dan stated on Tuesday that he will not choose between Sorin Grindeanu and Siegfried Mureșan, the PSD proposal, respectively the right-wing parties, for the position of prime minister, emphasizing that, unlike previous situations, it is now certain that the government will not pass.

He explained that he does not wish to participate in an "exercise" of appointing a government that has no chance of success.

"I do not want us to do an exercise of, let's play at being prime minister and appointing the government," declared the head of state.

Nicușor Dan believes that everyone has made mistakes in managing the current political crisis, mentioning that, a year ago, there was a good solution for Romania, but the coalition of four parties plus minorities failed to hold together.
