President Nicușor Dan stated that Romania is not afraid of Russian drones, but makes decisions based on opportunity, emphasizing that their downing depends on the safety of the residents. He explained that, in the context where drones fly near the borders, there is a risk that, in the attempt to shoot them down, they may hit Ukrainian territory. Dan mentioned that the decision to shoot down the drones belongs to the mission commander and that, if the situation allows, the drones will be shot down.
