Nicușor Dan, about the new vessel hit by drones in the Black Sea: An event in Russia’s escalation process

President Nicușor Dan stated on Friday, regarding the latest drone incident in the Black Sea, that it is “an event in Russia’s process of escalation.”

The head of state recalled that on Thursday a CSAT meeting was held on precisely this subject, to strengthen the national response capacity, rapidly develop maritime surveillance and mine-countermeasure capabilities, and ensure effective intervention against drones that unlawfully enter national airspace and maritime territory.

“We will have additional equipment. This is an event in the escalation process that Russia is carrying out in the war in Ukraine,” Nicușor Dan stated.
