President Nicușor Dan has made a call for responsibility to the political parties, emphasizing the importance of supporting the Government led by Eugen Tomac. In a statement, he mentioned that he has appointed a prime minister who will seek the Parliament's vote, stressing that, although party interests are legitimate, they must yield to the national interest.
The president stated: "It is not my mandate. My mandate is, one, to maintain Romania's pro-Western direction and, two, to prevent a sudden economic collapse that would affect every family in this country. And I am concerned that these issues are being discussed today."
Nicușor Dan expressed his concern about the lack of dialogue between parties, stating that he has chosen a suitable person to facilitate discussions between the different political formations. He reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining Romania's pro-Western direction and to preventing a sudden economic collapse that could affect families in the country.
