PSD MEP Victor Negrescu warned that the deadlock in political negotiations should not become an excuse for delays in implementing the reforms and investments assumed by Romania through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).

In a Facebook post, Negrescu emphasized the need for quick decisions to avoid administrative and financial blockages, but insisted that these must be based on consultations with all involved parties. He stated that respecting the PNRR commitments is crucial for Romania's credibility in front of European institutions and for access to funds. Negrescu highlighted the importance of transparency in the decision-making process and called for reforms not to become subjects of political confrontation, but to result from real dialogue. These ideas were also presented at the 'Transylvania EU Funds Day' event. In conclusion, he made a call for unity to capitalize on European opportunities and represent Romania's interests at the international level.
