Siegfried Mureșan, vice president of PNL, stated that Romania does not need a Government that starts its mandate by negotiating with "Russia's friends", referring to the meeting of the designated prime minister, Adrian Veștea, with the leader of AUR, George Simion.
Mureșan emphasized that political responsibility lies in building pro-European majorities, not in seeking support from those who contest the European direction of the country. In contrast, Veștea stated that he is a "man of dialogue" and that the meeting with Simion is necessary to put an end to the political chaos.
Additionally, Simion mentioned that AUR will not support Veștea's Government in the vote at the joint plenary session, scheduled for 21:30.
