Liberal MEP Siegfried Mureșan urged the PSD to abandon electoral games and urgently vote on the Salary Law project, warning that Romania risks losing 770 million euros from the PNRR funds if the milestone is not met by August 31.

Mureșan emphasized that the PSD has been responsible for this milestone for four years without completing it, and is now trying to gain political advantages from the negotiations.

He highlighted that the government led by Ilie Bolojan proposed a viable project that addresses the real needs of the public sector. Mureșan stated that the new law will make the salary system fairer, thus benefiting honest employees.

In conclusion, he called on the PSD to engage in constructive dialogue for the adoption of the law, warning that failing to meet the milestone will disadvantage those who work honestly.
