Siegfried Mureșan, chief negotiator of the European Parliament for the multiannual budget of the European Union, stated that the next three months are essential for establishing the European funds that Romania will receive in the next seven years.
In a message published on Facebook, Mureșan stated that he has secured an increase of approximately 6 billion euros in allocations for Romania and emphasizes that these funds must be defended in negotiations within the Council of the European Union. He criticizes the Social Democratic Party for its lack of "interest" in this matter, claiming that PSD representatives are more concerned with "blocking" European funds than defending them.
Mureșan also expressed his disbelief that a future PSD government could effectively manage these funds, comparing the situation to previous failures related to the PNRR and the Salary Law.
He concludes that the choice is between European funds for Romania or a PSD government.
"The choice is simple: European funds for Romania or a PSD government", he wrote on Facebook.
