Marcel Ciolacu, the leader of the PSD, stated that he does not rule out the possibility of breaking the current coalition, but he does not recommend this option due to the economic risks it entails. He emphasizes that a political crisis would worsen the economic climate in Romania, which is already facing recession. Ciolacu called for constructive discussions within the coalition to find viable solutions.

He also mentioned that the entry of USR into the government was a mistake and suggested that, in the event of a coalition breakup, early elections would be the best solution. Ciolacu highlighted the importance of making a decision, stating that prolonging a problem is not an option.
