The former president of the PSD and former prime minister, Marcel Ciolacu, stated that the Social Democratic Party is "condemned" to remain in power alongside the National Liberal Party, emphasizing the necessity of collaboration between the two parties to find beneficial solutions. In an interview, Ciolacu criticized the disputes within the governing coalition, mentioning that they do not bring benefits to Romanians, who have other priorities.

The former prime minister emphasized that the agenda of politicians should not eclipse the needs of citizens. Additionally, Ciolacu noted that, instead of economic proposals, the coalition has focused on internal conflicts, citing the situation of Sorin Grindeanu, which has brought problems instead of constructive solutions.
