PSD Secretary General and MEP Claudiu Manda said on Wednesday that PNL and USR have begun setting conditions for participating in the future government, although the governing program and economic measures have not yet been established.
Manda says the two parties already know “who is and who is not allowed to govern” before the future executive presents its priorities. The statements come amid political negotiations on forming a majority and appointing a new prime minister.
The PSD leader criticizes the right-wing parties, saying they have proved effective at dividing up positions and power but have failed to build a majority, including around their own designated prime minister.
Claudiu Manda says that appointing a new prime minister must be accompanied by a change in economic policy. The PSD wants to know what Luca Niculescu is proposing to revive the economy, which is in decline, according to the Social Democrat, and to remedy the effects produced in recent months. However, Manda did not provide details about the measures the PSD would support as part of the future governing program.
