Florin Manole, Minister of Labor, said that salary cuts by ministers or directors of state-owned companies is a form of populism and not a viable solution to economic problems. He stresses the need for serious legislative measures to address the current situation. Manole suggested that although salary cuts can be done by law, it is not an approach he supports, given the budgetary savings already achieved. This statement comes as other ministers and directors of state-owned companies have announced pay cuts.
