Florin Manole, former Minister of Labor and representative of the PSD, stated that the party has a constructive position regarding the salary law, but will not accept a law that leads to income cuts for employees in the public system.
Manole emphasized that the PSD will not vote for a law that it has not had the opportunity to analyze in detail and without consulting the affected unions. The party will continue meetings with union representatives to assess the impact of the law on various occupational categories. The main objectives of the PSD are to protect the incomes of public sector employees and to correct existing inequalities, without generating additional problems for the country's budget. Manole mentioned that he received the law shortly before the statement and that discussions will continue to ensure a fair approach. He also clarified that not all dignitaries benefit from bonuses from European funds, and the PSD will collaborate with the unions to ensure a common position regarding this law.
