Florin Manole, former Minister of Labor and PSD leader, stated that his party has not received any draft of the salary law after the meeting with the trade union confederations in Romania. Manole emphasized that PSD will vote for the law only if it brings equity and improvements in the salary system, not cuts. The discussions highlighted the need for all parties involved, including the unions, to have access to the latest version of the law to express themselves informed.

Manole insisted on the importance of an open public debate, where all opinions should be heard, and promised that PSD will collaborate with the unions to ensure a socially accepted law. He also mentioned that the political agreement from Cotroceni stipulates that no one should lose income, highlighting concerns regarding a possible decrease in the reference value of the minimum wage. Manole called for the draft of the law to be sent as soon as possible to allow for a proper evaluation.
