The interim Minister of Labor, Dragoș Pîslaru, stated that the project of the new salary law cannot satisfy everyone, emphasizing that the reform primarily aims for equity in the public system and not the reduction of incomes currently in payment. He explained that the reactions and criticisms that have arisen in the public space are diverse and come from both legitimate concerns and misunderstandings or political interpretations, but he insisted that "no income currently in payment in the public sector will decrease" once the law is applied. Pîslaru also specified that the project is still in the process of improvement, following consultations with social partners.
