Kelemen Hunor, the leader of UDMR, stated that he will not vote for the government proposed by Eugen Tomac, emphasizing that it would be "political masochism" to support a cabinet of which he is not a part, considering that UDMR was part of the previous government, which was ousted by a vote of no confidence.

Hunor explained that there are not enough arguments to support a technocratic government led by a politician, believing that this would indicate a lack of trust in political parties. Although he mentioned that UDMR will not vote against the government, he did not promise support for it, waiting for additional details about the government program. He emphasized the importance of parliamentarians taking responsibility for the government's projects, warning that a vote for the government followed by withdrawal into opposition is not a viable solution.

"So, logically, it doesn't add up! It would be political masochism to vote for a government of which I am not a part, after the government I was part of was ousted and to vote for the government with those who ousted the government," Kelemen Hunor stated on Tuesday evening, on TVR Info.
