Kelemen Hunor, the leader of UDMR, stated on Wednesday that, logically, PSD and AUR should assume the majority to form a new Government, after the motion of no confidence against the Bolojan Government is submitted. At the same time, he believes that the old coalition can still be restored, although it is not easy.
He added that, although PSD and AUR could form a majority, he hopes that this will not happen.
"Logically, this would mean that the same majority will probably exist the next day, but I hope it will not happen. We do not need such a thing," added the UDMR leader.
Kelemen Hunor criticized the absence of some essential elements in the motion, mentioning that in Germany it is mandatory to propose a new Government.
Additionally, the UDMR leader expressed optimism regarding the restoration of the coalition between PSD, USR, UDMR, and PNL, although he acknowledges that it would be a difficult process, considering the recent tensions. Kelemen Hunor emphasized the need for dialogue among all parties involved to find solutions.
Hunor's statements come just moments before the motion submitted by PSD, AUR, and Pace - Together Romania is to be presented in Parliament.
