Sorin Grindeanu attacks PNL-USR-UDMR: “They have no program, they have a rotating government” / The ironic message sent to Siegfried Mureșan

PSD President Sorin Grindeanu attacked on Friday the statements made by designated Prime Minister Siegfried Mureșan and the leaders of the PNL, USR and UDMR, arguing that they had not presented a program for Romania, but were discussing the division of power.

On Friday, Sorin Grindeanu mocked on Facebook the designated prime minister, Siegfried Mureșan, and the leaders of the parties supporting him, emphasizing that “they have no program, they have a rotating arrangement.”

“I understand that Mr. Mureșan has a habit of taking ‘time to think.’ Very well. Perhaps afterward he will come up with something more than the summer program ‘Down with the PSD,’” Sorin Grindeanu wrote on his Facebook page in a message criticizing the PNL-USR-UDMR alliance that proposed him as a candidate to head the government in June, Siegfrid Mureșan, and whom Nicușor Dan designated prime minister on Thursday evening.

With this message, Grindeanu also alluded to the “time to think” requested by Siegfried Mureșan from Nicușor Dan before accepting his proposal to try to form a majority for the investiture of a Government, so that he could inform PNL leader Ilie Bolojan of the designation.

The PSD leader is calling for clarifications regarding economic recovery, fiscal policy, protecting purchasing power, supporting investment and preserving jobs.

The PSD president asked whether the future government would continue the austerity policy of the Bolojan Cabinet or change course. He accused the PNL and USR of returning to the “old reflex” of dividing up positions and mocked the fact that Siegfried Mureșan was taking time to shape his position.

Grindeanu also claimed that the leu had lost ground against the euro since the prime minister was designated and reiterated the PSD’s position: presenting the program and measures for Romanians must take priority.

Grindeanu’s Facebook post was made after the parties announced that they were working on forming the future government.
