Sorin Grindeanu, the leader of PSD, stated that clarifications are necessary following the meeting between interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and the President of the Constitutional Court, Simina Tănăsescu, which took place on Friday, three days before the CCR is to rule on the referrals related to the ANI law.

Grindeanu emphasized that the meeting raises "questions" and called for an official explanation, mentioning that it is important to clarify the situation to protect the credibility of the CCR. During the press conference, Grindeanu compared the meeting to a hypothetical situation in which he would have met with a former president of the CCR, suggesting that the reactions would have been different.

Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, on the other hand, stated that when you hold a public office, obviously, you have meetings with representatives of institutions, with companies, to solve problems."

Criticism regarding the meeting also came from the Superior Council of Magistracy and other courts.
