The president of PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, stated that the party's parliamentarians will not vote for the budget unless it includes the Solidarity Package, emphasizing that 3.2 million Romanians have the right to these measures. Grindeanu asserted that PSD will not yield to the "blackmail" of the USR, PNL, AUR, and POT parties, which, according to him, sacrifice pensioners and children with disabilities.

His message was published on Facebook, where he reiterated PSD's commitment to fighting for the rights of these vulnerable categories. Discussions on the budget in the budget-finance committees are blocked, and the PSD amendment for the Ministry of Labor, which includes social measures worth 1.1 billion lei, has not been approved, recording the same number of votes twice.
