Sorin Grindeanu, the leader of the PSD, together with Marcel Ciolacu, made an electoral visit to the Buzău City Hall, where he was welcomed by the mayor Constantin Toma. Before entering the city hall, Grindeanu was asked about the unification of PNL-USR, explaining that these parties failed to find a candidate, which is why they opted for a "common formula".

He expressed confidence, stating that the PSD will succeed in facing this alliance. Additionally, Grindeanu outlined a new direction for the PSD, emphasizing the need for a profound change in the party, not just cosmetic adjustments. He highlighted the importance of a firm ideological line and a strong voice in international politics, mentioning that Romanians expect concrete solutions to their problems, not ideological experiments.
