The vote on the Government led by Siegfried Mureșan is scheduled for Wednesday, at 1:00 p.m., but the current parliamentary arithmetic indicates that the Executive still needs several dozen votes to be invested. PSD, AUR and representatives of the minorities have announced that they will not support this government formula. An important battle is being fought for the votes of unaffiliated lawmakers, and one of them is Gigi Becali.
Gigi Becali spoke on "Fanatik Superliga" about the vote on the new Executive and the reasons why he considers it important for Romania to have a stable government as soon as possible. He stated that, first and foremost, he wants the country to have a stable government and explained the personal reasons why he wants this.
“I am interested in there being a government. I signed a contract worth 24 million with an investment fund from England. I signed the contract for them to put up the money by the 15th. But they can withdraw by the 15th. In other words, the people said this: look, here’s the situation. If you don’t have a government, we might no longer buy the land. Can you imagine how many people are like me and how much money we are losing because of some despicable and worthless politicians? Now, I’ll see. There’s no point in voting for him if PSD doesn’t vote for him. I’m talking to Grindeanu, and if they vote, I’ll vote too. If PSD doesn’t vote, neither will I,” Becali revealed.
