The president of AUR, George Simion, stated that early elections represent the optimal solution for overcoming the current political crisis, in the event that parties fail to form a stable majority. During a broadcast, Simion accused the current political leaders of being responsible for the deadlock in government negotiations and called on President Nicușor Dan to quickly appoint a new prime minister.
AUR declares itself ready to participate in governance, stating that the current parties cannot effectively manage the economic situation. Simion criticized the current economic model, warning about the accumulation of debts, and proposed a different model. He also made accusations regarding the negotiations to support the Veștea Government, mentioning that he was invited to discussions but refused to participate.
Simion emphasized that AUR is no longer politically isolated at the European level and that his party is indispensable in the current parliamentary configuration. In the end, he reaffirmed AUR's desire to reach governance, either through agreements between parties or through early elections.
