Cătălin Urtoi, former personal advisor to Sorin Grindeanu when he was Minister of Transport, has made a public appeal to the PSD leader, urging him to avoid throwing Romania into political conflicts. Urtoi emphasizes that Romanians no longer want leaders who focus on toppling governments, but on stability and responsibility. He states that Romania does not have time for egos or power games, considering that the economy is in difficulty and public trust is declining. Urtoi warns that a political crisis could affect investments and European funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), which must be completed by August 2026. He insists that the PNRR should not be used as a political tool and that Romania needs leaders who prioritize the good of the country, not personal interests. Urtoi calls for responsible actions, emphasizing that political decisions can have a significant historical impact.
