The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, signed on June 5 the decree by which Eugen Tomac is designated as a candidate for the position of prime minister.
The announcement was made by the Presidential Administration, which specified that Tomac will request the confidence vote of Parliament for the program and the list of the new Government. This designation comes following the consultations and negotiations held by Nicușor Dan with the parliamentary parties. Tomac will need to present both the government program and the list of proposed ministers before Parliament, considering that the new Government can only take office after obtaining the confidence vote.
