Eugen Tomac, the designated prime minister, reiterated on Wednesday evening the intention to request the Parliament's vote for the formation of a new Government. He emphasized that his team will be composed of professionals and will have as main objectives stability, economic recovery, and maintaining Romania's pro-Western direction.
Tomac mentioned that the government program, which will be presented to Parliament, will include concrete measures resulting from consultations with political parties and parliamentarians. He highlighted the importance of dialogue and a functional Government, according to the message from President Nicușor Dan. Tomac stated that there are no reasons not to request a vote of confidence and that Romania's interest must prevail over political calculations.
