Dominic Fritz explained the stalemate in the negotiations to form the government, underlining that USR will not accept that the burden of the deficit should be borne by the private sector through tax increases. He said a reduction in state spending is necessary. Fritz supported the appointment of Ilie Bolojan as prime minister, believing that he is the right person to implement difficult measures. He also rejected the idea of a rocade in government, saying that this would not be the solution Romanians want.
