The designated Prime Minister Adrian Veștea had a meeting with the PACE group at Vila Lac, which can provide him with 11 votes out of the 233 needed for the government to be invested.

According to Senator Ninel Peia, the discussion was a preliminary one and focused on the economic directions that the designated Prime Minister has in mind. Veștea conveyed to the participants that Romania needs a government with full powers and reiterated the intention to adopt the governance program of the former executive led by Ilie Bolojan.

"He told us that the country needs a viable government, with full powers. We listened," Senator Pace specified.

However, the representatives of PACE stated that they will make a decision only after the presentation of the governance program and the ministerial team.
