MEP Daniel Buda, PNL leader, stated that his party will never support a government controlled by the Social Democratic Party, accusing the social democrats of blocking essential reforms and wasting funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
"The position of PNL is clear and does not change: we will no longer be part of a coalition with PSD and we will not support a government controlled by PSD, directly or through intermediaries,” said Daniel Buda.
In a post on social media, Buda emphasized that the only viable solution for Romania is a responsible right-wing government, highlighting the success of collaboration with USR and UDMR.
He criticized the recent actions of PSD, which have led to political instability and economic risks, including the possible blocking of necessary laws for accessing European funds. Buda reaffirmed PNL's commitment to Romania's European path, concluding that collaboration with PSD, which prefers blockage instead of responsibility, is no longer an option.
