PNL MEP Daniel Buda has been appointed, starting Wednesday, the new head of Romania's Delegation within the EPP Group, replacing Rareș Bogdan, who has been a critic of the current leadership of PNL. The decision was announced by MEP Siegfrid Mureșan, EPP Vice-President, who emphasized that PNL MEPs voted for this change.
Buda was officially received in office, and the Romanian delegation includes all PNL and UDMR MEPs, with Iuliu Winkler as co-chair. Rareș Bogdan, who supported the designated Prime Minister Adrian Veștea, is subject to disciplinary measures, and his expulsion from the party is in the process of being finalized, along with the registration of the new PNL Statute at the Court.
