The former president of PNL, Crin Antonescu, harshly criticized the current leadership of the party, especially Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, accusing him of being more interested in the upcoming elections for the Cotroceni Palace than in solving the real problems of Romania.
Antonescu argues that Bolojan has no vision for the country and that he focuses exclusively on the fight against PSD, which brings him political benefits. In a broadcast, he stated that Bolojan and Nicușor Dan should be concerned with the fundamental issues of the country, not engage in a political battle with the social democrats.
The former liberal leader warned that it is "suicidal" to build your political discourse solely around criticizing PSD, emphasizing that this party has suffered a significant decline and no longer represents a real threat. He also criticized other liberal leaders, such as Ludovic Orban, for focusing exclusively on PSD, suggesting that this behavior is counterproductive.
