Ciprian Ciucu, the general mayor of the Capital, intervened in the discussion generated by the post of former president Traian Băsescu, who criticized the appointment of Eugen Tomac as prime minister. Ciucu emphasized that the National Liberal Party (PNL) assumes governance as a recognition of past mistakes and accused the PSD of destroying the governing alliance by violating the protocol.

He stated that there is no longer an "alliance" and that PNL does not assume anything with PSD due to a lack of trust. The mayor concluded by criticizing Nicușor Dan's choice not to expose the PSD, suggesting that this protects the party from responsibility.
