Former CCR president Augustin Zegrean says that the Bolojan executive's bill to raise the retirement age and lower magistrates' pensions has a good chance of being accepted by the Constitutional Court, as it does not apply retroactively. However, he criticizes the way the reform has been adopted and anticipates complaints from magistrates, who will have different pensions depending on when they retire. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan explained that pensions will be calculated on the basis of gross income, with a ceiling of 70% of the last net salary.
