The leader of AUR, George Simion, declared on Monday evening that his party will not vote for the government proposed by Adrian Veștea, in the absence of clarifications from President Nicușor Dan, until 21:30.
This statement was made after negotiations at the AUR headquarters, where Veștea sought the necessary support in Parliament. Although Simion considered the meeting a step towards normality, he emphasized that AUR cannot support the current nomination due to the restrictions imposed by the president. Simion left open the possibility of another government formula, stressing that Romania urgently needs a functional government.
In discussions with Veștea, Simion addressed economic issues and the difficulties faced by the business environment, stating that AUR wants to participate in governance to implement solutions, not to obtain positions. He insisted that AUR is part of the solution to the current economic crisis.
