AUR leader, George Simion, has launched a motion of no confidence against the Bolojan Government, calling for the support of "the people" for the success of the motion. The announcement coincides with the government's assumption of responsibility for a fiscal package aimed at reducing the deficit. Also, an INSCOP poll shows the AUR's popularity rising to over 40%. Simion also refers to a no-confidence motion against the European Commission, led by Ursula von der Leyen, which will take place in the European Parliament. According to the constitution, the opposition can table a new motion of no confidence if the government takes responsibility, which paves the way for the AUR.
