After the simple motion against the Minister of Agriculture, Florin Barbu, was rejected by the majority in Parliament, the leader of AUR, George Simion, announced that next week he will launch a Black Book of Romanian agriculture. Simion harshly criticized the way the Government manages agriculture, accusing Barbu of destroying rural households and degrading the agricultural sector.
He emphasized that current fiscal policies affect small producers, while imports of meat and agri-food products are increasing. Simion presented a negative assessment of Barbu's activity, highlighting alarming declines in pig and cattle numbers, as well as the lack of support for farmers regarding infrastructure and credit conditions. AUR also aims to bring to the public's attention the serious issues in agriculture through this document.
