George Simion, the leader of AUR, declared that he is ready to support a national unity government to face the economic and social crisis in Romania, emphasizing the need for national reconciliation. He highlighted the serious problems the country is facing, including the death of 10 children due to bacteria at a hospital in Iași and the risk of poverty for one-third of children.

Simion stated that AUR will not remain passive and that it is willing to make sacrifices to help the Romanian people, including by collaborating with other political forces, including PSD, to stop the current crisis. He also reaffirmed support for Călin Georgescu as prime minister, emphasizing that his party is open to dialogue to find solutions that meet the needs of Romanians.
