George Simion, the president of AUR, stated that the law enforcement institutions in Bucharest discriminate against the political opposition, officially requesting protection for himself, his family, and his party colleagues. On October 30, the facade of AUR's central headquarters was vandalized by individuals who identified themselves as members of the Antifa group, an organization considered terrorist in the United States.

Simion emphasized that, although there is video evidence of the incident, the police have failed to identify the perpetrators. He also mentioned other complaints filed, including one for death threats received after the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, without any results so far. Simion accused the police of negligence and suggested that the secret services are more concerned with creating political files against the opposition than with protecting citizens.
