The president of AUR, George Simion, expressed the desire for the elections for the Capital City Hall to take place on December 7, but specified that he will not run, considering that the position of general mayor does not suit him. He emphasized that AUR will support candidates who have real chances of winning and that the party benefits from increased popularity among the population.

Simion criticized the current political class for the lack of alternation in power and stated that AUR, lacking governing experience, represents a viable alternative for voters.
