George Simion announces an AUR demonstration in Bucharest, following messages of support for Călin Georgescu

AUR leader George Simion announced that the party will organize a demonstration in Bucharest on November 14 and 15, after several days during which he urged Călin Georgescu’s supporters to take to the streets and continue the protests.

“On November 14–15, all AUR members will be in Bucharest. Where will you be?”, George Simion wrote Monday afternoon in a message posted on his Facebook account.

The announcement represents the first explicit call for an action organized by the party in the capital, following the AUR leader’s repeated appeals for demonstrations across the country. In recent days, Simion sent several messages of support for Călin Georgescu, whom he described in his posts as a supporter of the cause he promotes.

George Simion has repeatedly threatened to organize large-scale protests, but so far has provided no details about the route, scale, or demands of the demonstration announced for mid-November.
