PNL MP Alina Gorghiu called on Thursday for the resumption of political dialogue and the formation of a stable parliamentary majority, following the Mureșan Government’s collapse. She stated that Romania needs a “T0” in politics, without egos and vendettas, and called for reducing tensions between the responsible parties.
In a video message published on Facebook, Gorghiu stressed that a government can be invested only with at least 233 votes in Parliament. According to her, the majority is not offered automatically, but must be built through negotiations, persuasion, and political compromises.
The Liberal MP acknowledged that the PNL’s strategy so far had failed and supported restarting discussions from scratch. The objective, she said, must be a majority capable of supporting the government not only in the investiture vote, but also over the next two years.
Gorghiu rejected the idea of early elections, arguing that they would generate instability and block the budget rectification, reforms, and necessary economic decisions. “All responsible political forces must put out the crisis, not pour fuel on the fire,” the MP said, calling for responsibility and a stable government.
