Alexandru Muraru, the leader of PNL Iași, stated that PSD has crossed a line with its repeated attacks on Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, accusing him of political blackmail. Muraru claimed that PSD is blocking necessary state reforms and characterized its actions as a threat to the rule of law. He emphasized that the attacks from PSD are not just differences of opinion, but part of an orchestrated strategy to maintain privileges.

Muraru argued that Bolojan has the courage to implement essential reforms, such as cutting special pensions, and called on PSD to decide whether it wants to be part of the reform or part of the problem. He concluded that Romania needs leaders who can withstand pressures and threats, not politicians who yield to group interests.
