PSD Iași leader Bogdan Cojocaru harshly criticized the PNL president and dismissed Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, following his questioning at the Iași DNA office. Cojocaru claimed that liberal leaders from Moldova have appeared before prosecutors in corruption cases in recent years and associated Bolojan’s questioning with “a foul-smelling affair” allegedly involving bribes worth hundreds of thousands of euros.
Bolojan was questioned on Friday as a witness in the case involving businessman Fănel Bogos. According to the information presented, Bogos was allegedly received by the prime minister for an audience on September 23, 2025. Bogos is accused of incitement to blackmail and influence peddling, while criminal proceedings have also been initiated in the case against Cristina Trăilă, former deputy secretary general of the Government.
In response, PNL Iași leader Alexandru Muraru accused the PSD of hypocrisy and called for Sorin Grindeanu to be summoned to the DNA in the Nordis case. Muraru also made allegations concerning presumed foreign interference in the change of the Bolojan Government. The Government stated that the prime minister’s questioning concerned the circumstances of the meeting with Fănel Bogos and that he provided prosecutors with all the explanations requested.
