An 18-year-old man from Dolj has been arrested for raping two little girls and assaulting a third, after hitting a young boy who intervened.

The incident took place in the middle of the day, when four children were playing in a yard. The young man, known to the children, entered the yard and raped two sisters aged 10 and 12. As he tried to undress a 6-year-old girl, her brother, a 9-year-old boy, intervened and was beaten and threatened with death. After telling their parents, the families went to the police and the young man was detained by the authorities. Prosecutors plan to seek his remand.
