The NGOs 350.org and the Guanabara Bay Association of Men and Women of the Sea have developed a mobile app for fishermen to document and report pollution.

The "De Olho na Guanabara" app was launched in response to the worrying presence of chemical and oil pollutants in Rio de Janeiro's Guanabara Bay. The name of the app means "Eyes on Guanabara".
