After months in which companies have encouraged the intensive use of artificial intelligence, many organizations are changing their strategy, according to the AP agency. The concept of 'tokenmaxxing', which involves high consumption of 'tokens' to maximize AI usage, is starting to lose popularity. Executives of large companies have noticed that bills for AI services are rising rapidly, surpassing the benefits. Experts suggest that using the most advanced AI models for simple tasks is a waste. As a result, companies are implementing 'model routing', automatically choosing the right model based on the complexity of the task. Additionally, open-source models are becoming viable alternatives, offering similar performance at lower costs. Experts believe that this trend reflects a maturation of AI usage, shifting the focus from excessive resource consumption to their efficient use.
