The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated that the border crossing point with Romania has been intentionally damaged, emphasizing that this is essential infrastructure for exports. Russian attacks have recently intensified, affecting not only the borders but also energy and logistics facilities.
A recent attack halted border crossings to Romania at Orlivka, on the Danube. Additionally, Russia has frequently attacked border points with the Republic of Moldova, paralyzing the activity of Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea.
Zelensky also reported attacks on a train station in Kyiv, resulting in seven deaths, most of whom were employees of the state railway company. Russian attacks have also targeted businesses in Kyiv, causing severe damage and impacting supplies in supermarkets.
The President has called for the acceleration of deliveries of air defense systems, considering the decrease in the interception rate of Russian ballistic missiles. In recent attacks, Ukraine has managed to shoot down a significant number of missiles and drones, but the interception rate has decreased, especially due to the introduction of jet-powered drones.
